Full- Time Level 3 Early Years Practitioner with SEND experience for Yardley area
A nursery school in Yardley, a client of Ambassadors Resourcing, is looking for a compassionate, hard-working Level 3 Early Years Practitioner with a current Paediatric First Aid certificate and with experience of supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, ideally speech and language difficulties and autism. The role requires the successful candidate to work full-time, potentially until the end of the Summer Term 2025 to support children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in the nursery school’s 6 place resource base.
Job Description
- The successful Level 3 Early Years Practitioner will:
- Demonstrate a passion for working with children in the Early Years, including children with SEND and understand the importance of meeting every child’s individual needs and interests by effectively supporting them in their learning activities
- Have sound knowledge of the EYFS
- Have experience, knowledge and understanding of working in an Early Years setting with children with SEND, ideally speech and language difficulties and autism
- Be flexible, dynamic and compassionate, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Actively promote and support the safeguarding of all children, ensuring that all the policies and procedures of the nursery school and Ambassadors Resourcing are followed at all times
- Contribute to a safe, clean, inspiring and inclusive environment
- Engage in excellent communications with the Head, SENCo and nursery team, parents/carers
Requirements
- The successful Level 3 Early Years Practitioner must have:
- A Level 3 in Child Care and Education or the equivalent
- A minimum of GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English, or the equivalent
- A current Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of working with children with SEND
- A commitment to working full-time until the end of the Summer Term 2025
- An enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and have a legal right to work in the country
- Acceptable reference checks dating back two years from previous employers or educational institutions, five years for a character reference

SEND Teaching Assistants
Ambassadors Resourcing is looking to expand our team of experienced full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to work in temporary, short-term or long-term positions in special educational needs schools and resource bases in Handsworth, Erdington, Tile Cross and surrounding areas of Birmingham. The roles involve supporting children with additional needs, including autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD and specific communication difficulties. Experience of Makaton, PECs and Team-Teach is preferable, but not essential.
Job Description
