SEN Teaching Assistant for Oldbury, West Midlands

 We are seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a school in Oldbury. Familiarity with ADHD and Autism and an understanding of how to best develop children with other needs would be highly beneficial.

 

Job Description

  • The successful Teaching Assistant will:
  • Have a passion and commitment to supporting children who have SEN
  • Be confident in building effective relationships with pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Use their own initiative and work successfully as part of a team
  • Support the teacher with planning, preparation and carrying out of activities
  • Have strong behaviour management skills 

Requirements:

  • The successful Teaching Assistant must:
  • Have a minimum of NVQ level 3 or the equivalent in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Have experience and knowledge of working with pupils with autism and SEN
  • Have/acquire an enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)

Lunchtime Supervisors for Special Needs School

 

An outstanding special needs school in South Birmingham is looking for lunchtime supervisors to work for 1hour 30 minutes per day, five days a week. The successful candidate will be supervising and assisting primary and secondary pupils across three sites with ASD.
